Dogs need a vacation too!
How fun would it be to play all day in a forest? And to make new friends on the way? Play and socialization are key to your dog’s well being. We make staying at our retreat as stress-free and positive as possible – it’s almost like the comfort of home.
You need a vacation, doesn’t your dog too?
We believe that dogs should be allowed to be dogs, trained only using positive reinforcement, and that they can teach us as much as we teach them. Book a stay with us or ask for a meet-and-greet to see if our home is the right fit for your dog.
About the cabin
Our cabin is an actual log cabin situated on 1.3 acres on a quiet street located 1 mile off Bainbridge Island. A fenced side yard gives a great place to play, and a nearby beach is great for swimming and playing in the sand. Across the street is a private forest loop the dogs love to do. Our dog retreat really does have it all!

Murry had the absolute BEST time staying with Megan, Gordon and sweet Gus! They have a wonderful home and Murry immediately fell in love with the fenced side yard where he could run free (a luxury he doesn’t have at home!) and got right along with their adorable doddle Gus. Murry loves adventuring and we were so stoked to see he got to join in on hikes, beach walks, and couch snuggles with the fam! Megan’s updates made our day and we were able to enjoy a weekend away knowing Murry was also having a great vacation :). Murry misses you all and hopes to see you soon!

Megan and her dog Gus are the absolute best. As a first-time dog mom, I was nervous about leaving our new 3 month old puppy Icon for a whole week to visit my family for Thanksgiving, but Megan’s competence and compassion gave me such peace of mind. She sent me the most adorable photos and videos of Icon’s stay at her house, which has a great fenced yard and back deck. Gus played his part by being a good mentor and role model and (incredibly gentle) playmate. Icon had such a good time I think he was a bit sad to come home with us when we returned! Megan will be first on my list for any future dogsitting needs and I strongly recommend her to others.

Megan loves and knows more about dogs than anyone I know. She has studied animal behavior, her own dog, Gus, is a certified and amazing Therapy Dog, and a dog has always been part of her family for as long as I’ve known her. I love to bring my dogs over to Megan’s because she is conscientious of their needs, she disciplines when necessary, but she also allows them to be themselves and enjoy their playtime. I trust Megan with my dogs wholeheartedly. She treats them like family, Gus gets along great with them, and I know they will be cared for and well loved.

Megan (and her awesome Golden Doodle, Gus) are amazing! She and Gus made my Golden Retriever, Finn, feel absolutely at home. We were sent lots of pictures throughout our trip and Finn went on fun hiking adventures. Megan has a fenced yard and has trained Gus as a therapy dog – regularly visiting nursing homes together. I would absolutely recommend Megan for dog sitting!

Megan has always been a pet lover in the over 20 years that I have known her. Not only does she have the heart for pets, she also has the brains, having taken classes in animal science. Her experience and knowledge lead me to trust her with my pets and highly recommend her.
